After realizing the hard work our teachers put into making virtual and hybrid classes filled with positivity and engagement,
we wanted to show our appreciation for their dedication. Thus, CYCG initiated the COVID Teacher Care Kits project in order to show our love and care to our amazing HCPSS teachers and staff.
Teachers can request their free kits through this Teacher request form.
We have proudly delivered 1700+ kits to 64 HCPSS schools (80% of 77 HCPSS schools).
A handy mask lanyard is included recently.

Teachers love our gifts!
We received over 500+ thank-you comments, emails and post cards from teachers.
Here are some examples.
“I want to thank you so much for the face mask! It was such a wonderful and appreciated surprise.
As a seamstress, I am very impressed by the workmanship. Masks I have purchased commercially are not made quite so well nor are they as comfortable. Please express my gratitude to all of the volunteers.”
"We are so lucky and honored to have the support of Clarksville Youth Care Group. The masks they gave us are top-notch. They're extremely comfortable and even come with a filter insert and an extender for additional comfort. Having the support of CYCG has really helped teachers feel comfortable and safe during the transition back to school. Their efforts have truly made a difference in our school community."
“This is so lovely of you and your organization! On behalf of educators in Howard County, thank you for undertaking such a kind and compassionate project. Your support means the world to us.”
“Thank you so much! This may be the best mask I’ve tried! And the ear saver is great. That has been one of my many worries about returning to school and wearing a mask for a long time. You guys are amazing. Thank you so much!”
“It is absolutely the best mask that I have, fun, comfortable and beautifully sewn! I won’t have to wear those generic “hospital”-like blue masks when teaching. You should be very proud of the work you are doing and the service you are providing to the community!”
“I am a special education teacher. I wanted to send a huge thank you to you and your group for the beautiful mask, carbon filter and ear saver. The mask is so well done, and I love that the nose bar is sewn in. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity. I will think of your group with gratitude every time I wear the mask, which will be often. With much appreciation and gratitude!”
“Thank you so much for making this kit for me. I am so touched that your group has done this for us. Please tell your group of students, Thank you. I look forward to wearing my new mask!”
